The day many NBA fans have been waiting for has arrived. Victor Wembaniama plays in his first NBA game during the opening night of the Las Vegas Summer League. Wembanayama’s San Antonio Spurs take on Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets at 9 p.m. Friday (ESPN) at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Friday’s opening session of the Summer League, featuring No. 3 pick Scoot Henderson and the Portland Trail Blazers and No. 4 pick Amen Thompson and the Houston Rockets, sold out for several days. This is the fifth time in Summer League history that a session has sold out. Wembaniyama’s debut has been anticipated for months as the 7-foot-4 French phenom caught the attention of basketball fans with his guard-like moves on a forward-built frame.

The Spurs will play against the Blazers and Henderson on Sunday. How much Vembaniyama plays in Summer League has yet to be determined, but fans will be watching his every move in Las Vegas.
