Yarmouth RCMP investigating robbery involving a knife

YARMOUTH, N.S. – The Yarmouth RCMP are investigating a robbery in which they say a man was robbed at knife point. 

According to an RCMP media release, at 12:41 a.m. on Nov. 13, an alleged robbery was reported to Yarmouth Town RCMP via 911. The RCMP say an incident occurred on the south end of Main Street, where a man was said to have been robbed at knife point by a male and a female.

A second female – a 31-year-old woman – and a person known to the victim, was also involved with the robbery and was arrested at the scene. 

The RCMP say the suspects cut the 64-year-old victim's pocket and took his wallet, which contained cash and identification.

Some of the suspects had hoodies on and had their faces partially covered. Police know the identity of the suspects, who are a 39-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman, both from Yarmouth. The man was arrested earlier today and Tuesday afternoon police were continuing attempts to locate the woman.

The investigation is ongoing. No charges had been laid at the time of this posting therefore names had not been released.
