SYDNEY, N.S. —

A Sydney woman has been charged with drug offences after being stopped Tuesday by RCMP in Eskasoni.

Nadine Christine Sampson, 42, of Atlantic Street, is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking relating to Perocet and Ritalin.

The drugs were discovered during a routine traffic stop on Shore Road. In addition to a quantity of drugs, police also seized cell phones and cash.

Sampson has been released on conditions and is scheduled to enter pleas on the charges during a provincial court appearance in Eskasoni on Dec 3.
