RCMP continue to appeal to the public for information in the search for a Middleton woman who went missing seven weeks ago.

Janet Bandurak, 66, was last seen leaving a residence in Kentville on Sept. 8.

The red GMC truck she was driving was found by police the next day, abandoned on Highway 221 near the fire department in Woodville, Kings County.

RCMP and volunteer search teams have scoured the area without success.

With the change of seasons, police are asking Kings County residents to be on the lookout for anything that could be of assistance in the search.

Bandurak is described as white and four-foot-11, with short, white hair. When last seen, she was wearing a blue jacket and grey pants.

Anyone with information on Bandurak’s whereabouts is asked to contact the New Minas RCMP detachment at 902-679-5555 or submit an anonymous tip to Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
