DIGBY, N.S. – The public is being advised of another closure of the emergency department at Digby General Hospital.
The Nova Scotia Health Authority says the department will be closed Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6 a.m. and will reopen later that day at 8 p.m.
The authority says physician availability is the cause.
This is the second closure this week of the department. It was also closed on all day Feb. 13 and reopened the morning of Feb. 14.
The health authority reminds people that if they have an emergency to call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department. For non-emergency health advice from a registered nurse, call 811. The Mental Health Crisis Line operates 24/7 at 1-888-429-8167.
