To mark the 38th Tide Kite Day and to close out the 2019 season, the 3rd annual Tide Kite Fest will take place on Sunday, Sept.15 at the Belliveaus Cove Boardwalk and on the beach during low tide.

From 4-8 p.m. at the Gazebo there will be a free open mic for musicians of all styles organized by Dennis Blinn and Jason Saulnier, as well as hot dogs and soft drinks for purchase from the Belliveaus Cove Development Commission. And of course there will be kites too!

This is a free community event, the site is accessible and all are welcome. Bring your kites or get one on site. Also bring your instruments, family, friends and a positive attitude, say organizers.

Since 2017, Tide Kite has attracted kite enthusiasts and spectators every Sunday all summer at low tide to get out, look up and have fun at the beach. Through the support and dedication of the community, this year led by Dennis and Sally Blinn, Tide Kite has become the biggest recreational kite flying ‘club’ in Nova Scotia. In 3 years only one event was cancelled due to bad weather. You can also follow Tide Kite on Facebook.

Tide Kite is supported by Caisse Populaire De Clare.
