Kate Middleton made her first official public appearance again for Mother's Day since the princess underwent surgery weeks ago.

Prince William's Mother's Day portrait showed him looking casual next to his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The Princess of Wales, 42, was seen without her wedding ring or any other jewelery in the family photo.

This is Kensington Palace's first update since Kate's surgery. He thanked his supporters as he recovered.

“Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the past two months. Happy Mother's Day everyone,” he wrote to fans, signing off with a 'C' for Catherine.

The mother has taken a break from the royal spotlight as she recovers from “scheduled abdominal surgery” on January 16.

His last appearance at Sandringham on Christmas Day has led to much speculation over his absence over the past two months.

On January 29, the procedure was deemed a success as the Princess returned to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, reuniting with her children after a two-week absence.

TMZ spotted him on Monday in the passenger seat of a black Audi 4×4 with his mom, Carole Middleton, wearing dark sunglasses covering her face.

As the photo circulated in the US media, Kensington Palace appealed to the UK press to stop publishing the image out of respect for the royal family's privacy.

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace commemorated Mother's Day by sharing a photo of King Charles kissing the hand of his late mother Queen Elizabeth II, taken following a polo match in 1985.

“A peaceful Mothering Sunday to all mothers and those who lost their mothers today,” the King's message read.
