Digby senior boys win first game of soccer Regionals: next game at 4 p.m. today in Bridgetown

BRIDGETOWN – The Digby Regional High School senior boys soccer team won their first game at Regionals.

The Mariners beat New Germany 2-1 in shootouts in Bridgetown this morning, Oct. 22.

The game was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation time; Nathan Janson scored Digby’s goal.

Neither team scored through two 10-minute overtimes.

In shootouts, Digby’s tenth shooter, Noah Titus ended it.

Bridgetown also won their game this morning against Forest Heights 2-0.

Digby plays Shelburne in Bridgetown at 4 p.m. this afternoon.

The winner of each pool advances to the final on Saturday, Oct. 24.
