Bridgetown ends Digby junior girls soccer season

The junior girls’ soccer season has ended.

The girls hosted Bridgetown today, Wednesday, Oct. 17 for a must-win playoff qualifier.

Bridgetown won 4-1 and ended the season for Digby.

The Digby girls kept it close for most of the game. They ended the first half down just 2-1, thanks to a big hustle goal from forward Miriam Ameriault.

She let a hard shot go from just outside the 18-yard box and followed her shot in. The Bridgetown goalie fumbled the shot, Ameriault got in behind her and knocked in Digby’s only goal of the game.

The senior boys play at DRHS at 4 p.m. tomorrow night, the senior girls are in Liverpool.

The junior boys have a game each of the next two days. On Thursday, Oct. 18 they play AWEC in Annapolis at 4 p.m and Friday they host Annapolis here at 4:30 p.m.
