The final round of the four-day championship get underway tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m., with third round leader David Williamson of Ashburn GC teeing off at 9:10 a.m.

The amateur field is competing for three spots (plus an alternate) to represent Nova Scotia at the Canadian amateur championship Aug. 10-13, in Toronto.

Competitors were treated to another beautiful sunny day at Paragon for the third round, but the course continued to be a challenging track for all competitors, with no golfer in the field under par through three rounds of play.

After Thursday’s second round of play the field was cut to 63 competitors, all now chasing Williamson who captured the championship in 2008. He is 3-over par with a three-day total of 217.

Nine shots back—at 226—is Creighton, who has recorded rounds of 77-72-77 for a 226 total. He is tied in ninth with Bruce Tomie of Northumberland Links GC.

Stephane LeBlanc of Clare GCC is tied for 14th, while Anthony LeBlanc is in a tie for 40th, along with Digby’s Justin Wood.
