RCMP received the call to the scene of the single-vehicle crash on Route 2 in Dunstaffnage at around 3 a.m.
The pickup truck had left the roadway and collided with a utility pole, resulting in a temporary power outage in the area.
Police arrested the Nova Scotia man at the scene for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
The driver and a passenger were subsequently transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance where they were treated with non-life threatening injuries.
North Shore Volunteer Fire Department and Island EMS also responded to the scene.
Queens District RCMP are continuing their investigation, and encourage drivers to be alert on the roads and continue reporting suspected impaired drivers.
