The Admiral Digby Museum’s gift shop got a full renovation in time for the 2018 tourism season.

The new gift shop has a collection of local artist’s work, with a variety of everything from books to art.

“It’s been very busy for this time of year,” said Gail Hersey, President of the Admiral Museum board of trustees.

Any local artists who are interested in selling their products on consignment in the gift shop, are encouraged to contact the museum.

The museum installed a new sign next to their building, which is advertising the new shop and events the museum is taking part in.

“I think it’s helping because people come in and mention they saw the sign,” Hersey said.

The museum applied for a grant from the municipality for the renovations. They were granted $2500.

The museum is hosting a 'name the doll' contest, where whoever choses the best doll name can win the doll.
