Middleton RCMP has charged a 62-year-old man with a number of sexual and drug-related offenses.

MIDDLETON, NS – An Annapolis County man faces a number of sexual offence charges, trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and production of a controlled substance.

Middleton RCMP responded to a complaint Aug. 20 that 62-year-old Bradley Crouse was allegedly providing illegal drugs to two young males. Police started an investigation.

On Aug. 30 a man went to the Middleton RCMP detachment and told police he had been sexually assaulted by Crouse for a number of years, beginning when he was 15 years old. On Sept. 1 another man came forward and also told police that he had been sexually assaulted by Crouse for a number of years beginning when he was 13 years old.

All of the complainants indicated that Crouse provided them with incentives in return for sexual acts. The alleged offences occurred in Middleton and Nictaux Falls and date back to 1974.

Bradley Crouse was arrested by Annapolis District RCMP on Sept. 1 and was remanded until his court appearance on Sept. 4 in Digby Provincial Court. Crouse was released that day on conditions to have no contact with the complainants, or anyone under the age of 16 years old.

Crouse is scheduled to appear in Annapolis Royal Provincial Court on Oct. 29.

The RCMP is concerned that there may be more complainants given the number of people who have come forward and the length of time that has passed.

None of the charges have been proven in a court of law.

Annapolis District RCMP is encouraging any other complainants, or anyone who has information to come forward and contact Const. Stephanie Wagner at Middleton RCMP: 902-825-2000.
