DIGBY, N.S- The construction of a steel arch bridge just west of exit 26 in Digby is taking longer than expected.

The bridge is going to connect an ATV rail bed trail across highway 101. This way, no one needs to illegally cross the highway.

Construction was anticipated to be completed in March.

The department of Transportation and Infrastructure renewal said in an email that construction of the bridge was delayed because crews had to relocate utility poles before parts of the bridge could be built and installed.
