A logging truck overturned on the western on ramp to Highway 101 at Exit 25 near Smith’s Cove around 12:30 p.m.
The accident happened as the truck was negotiating the sharp turn of the ramp and it tumbled over, spilling a load of logs into the ditch.
Smith's Cove fire, paramedics and RCMP attended and a local contractor brought an excavtor and tractor to the scene to remove the logs from the truck's trailer.
Then, with tractor pulling on the cab, the contractor used the excavator's bucket to pull the trailer upright.
Within an hour of the accident, the truck was back on its wheels and towed to nearby salvage yard.
The ramp has reopened to traffic, dirvers should watch for a truck loading the wood out of the ditch
