Kevin Gidney won the rope-splicing contest with perfect points for neatness and a time of 330 seconds. First prize was $200.

Ronnie Halliday also had perfect neatness points with a time of 413 seconds. Second prize was $100.

Kenny Graham had a perfect splice but one one flaw on his eye with a time of 224 seconds. Third prize was $50.

Ronnie Halliday took home his second prize of the day with a first place finish in the rope coiling contest. His time was 23.31 seconds and his prize was $200.

Jamie Thibodeau took home $100 for his split-second second-place finish. The judges put him down as being 3/100 of a second faster than Mike Doucet with a time of 25.28 seconds.

Doucet took home $50.
