What will you do with your extra day?

Today is the day.

Who cares why – hundreds of years ago some smart astronomer type was able to foresee our hectic and over-scheduled lifestyle – and with this in mind, they designed the calendar with a sort of release valve – a reset button – a catch up day - once every four years we get an extra day.

Feb. 29.

And this is it. Your extra day.

What will you do with it?

Normal day or celebrate? Jump around a lot? Eat frog’s legs? Apparently it’s a thing for Feb. 29.

Let us know in the comments here or on Facebook.

What ever you do, have fun out there, Digby!

Here are some answers we got to this question last week:

Aralee Green, Digby: It’s my day off and I’m going to be helping a friend with her new endeavour – it’s a big project and we sure can use that extra day to get everything ready.

Debbie Dupuis, Digby: After work, I’ll be going to the Sunset Pub for a Scallop Days meeting. We have a lot of planning to do for what is shaping up to be an amazing celebration this summer.

Joey Amero, Digby: I’ll be coaching hockey at the rink in Church Point. That’s going to be the first time DRHS has entered in the junior high hockey district tournament.

James Titus, Smith’s Cove: It should be a holiday – it’s only every four years, and then everyone could do what they want with that day.
