Legion contest winners at DRHS

DIGBY – The Legion has awarded over $200 in prizes to students at Digby Regional High School.

Emily Veinot won first place in the drawing category and Caitlyn Rice won the poetry.

Each earned a $75 first prize and their submissions will be forward to provincials.

Hannah Moore finished second in drawing, Taylon Addington third, and Zoe Marshall-Amirault and Emma Lewis both received honourable mentions.

The national contests encourage children to learn more about the sacrifices of members of the Canadian military.
