DIGBY, NS – A fun and safe Halloween event for kids is coming at the Digby Wesleyan Church and is sure to be a great way to celebrate.

The event was put together by the entire team at the church, including Lola Gidney, and spearheaded by youth pastor Curtlen Peck. Gidney is very excited for its first year, and said the event was created to offer “a safe place for the kids to come and trick-or-treat for Halloween.”

The event is looking to draw kids from under 1-year-old to grade 6 age.

The event will include classic Halloween treats with a new twist – trunk-or-treat, where kids go car to car getting treats from car trunks in the church’s parking lot.

Carnival-style games will also be set up inside the church.

Parking for parents not participating in the trunk event will also be available.

“We’re really looking forward to this event, and are hoping for a good turnout,” said Gidney.

The event will be held at the Digby Wesleyan Church at 84 Victoria Street on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
