SOUTHWEST NOVA SCOTIA -Brier Island fisherman Jess Tudor holds up a 17-pound lobster hauled up aboard the Chad and Sisters Two captained by Chad Graham on March 27 somewhere off southwest Nova Scotia.

That seabug would have been big enough to win the 2013 Lobster bash jumbo lobster contest - Chester Richard, captain of the Fundy Mariner won that first year with 16.85 pound monster.

But last year, John Morehouse won with a 19.6-pound behemoth.

The Digby lobster bash runs from July 3 to 5 this year. The jumbo lobster contest will kick off the event like every year, at 5:30 p.m. on July 3 on the Fundy Complex stage, on the Digby waterfront.
