For the sixth year in a row, organizers made sure no one in town missed out on the noise and excitement of the rally by holding an event behind the hospital on Friday morning.

Riders from the Hub City Stunters put on a 45-minute show of wheelies and burnouts and more on Friday, Aug. 29 and then mingled with the audience afterwards and posed for photos.

Bean’re brought two dozen bikers for a mini show and shine with the residents and patients handing out awards.

Minny the dog and her riding companions Marion Shirlow and Raymond Wells stole the show this year, taking home three awards– Wells had with him the two awards he won at last year’s event.

After the show and shine, Bean’re led the bikers on a parade around Tideview Terrace, Digby’s home for special care, where the bikers honked horns and revved engines, before zooming up Pleasant Street and back to the rally.

The Hub City Stunters have four more shows this weekend. Catch them on the Digby wharf on Saturday at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and for a night show at 9 p.m. and a Sunday show at 3 p.m.
