Bridgetown, the top seed in the Annapolis County league, hosted the District championships and took on the Digby Regional Mariners in the first match of the day, defeating the visitors, 72-58, to advance to the championship game.
Drew Sabean tallied 19 points and Tyler Wright netted 13 for the Mariners, putting Digby in the consolation match.
SMBA advanced to the finals with a 51-35 victory over the Annapolis Royal Regional Academy Royals in the second game of the tournament.
Action was close with SMBA head by one point, 30-29, going into the final frame.
The Stingrays came out strong in the fourth quarter going on a 21-6 run to seal the win.
In the consolation match, Digby and ARRA played a tight first half with the Mariners staying in front with a 19-18 lead going into the third quarter.
The Mariners put pressure on the ball in the second half. Working together as a team to find the open man, they dominated play and surged ahead of the Royals, 33-17.
Drew Sabean had a huge game, scoring 28 points to lead the Mariners to victory while Logan Hebb and Zane Lynch added seven points each.
The closest game of the day came in the championship match.
Both teams were evenly matched, playing strong at both ends of the court throughout the game, and trading point for point with SMBA leading 24-21 at the half.
The Stingrays took the third quarter 33-32 and squeezed out the 50-48 victory in the dying seconds of the game.
