Digby Regional’s rugby team downed West Kings High 28 – 21 Tuesday in its first home game of the season in front of a large crowd.

Coach Alain Saulnier said the team has been competing extremely well this year, almost beating Middleton in a 10-8 loss. The squad also managed 12 points against Central Kings in a 30-12 loss.

Tuesday’s game against West Kings was a hard fought match, said Saulnier. Stand off Spencer Wyatt scored three tries and Andrew Walker scored one. “All four tries were converted by drop goals off the sure foot of Spencer Wyatt,” said the coach.
