The players’ roster and schedule of events have been announced for the Nova Scotia Junior C league all-star game Jan. 11 in Digby.

The host team Valley Keith’s has four players on the West team, goalie Chris Hersey, forwards Devon Bezanson and Tyler Robertson, and defenseman Andrew Verran.

As well, Keith’s coach Geoff Locke will be on the all-star coaching staff along with Michel Deveau and Tyler Smith of the Clare Lions, and Dana McCarthy of the Barrington Ice Dogs.

The West division-leading Clare Lions are contributing six players to the all-star team, including goalies Colin Leblanc and Nick Comeau, as well as forwards Ryan Gallant, Marc Macintosh and Jacques Lombard, and defenseman Stephane Leblanc.

The game starts at 3 p.m., following a two-hour skills competition that includes a relay race, penalty shots, shooter accuracy, speed shooting and the hardest shot.

The West division, with players in white jerseys, will have representatives from the Keith’s, Lions, Ice Dogs, South Shore Wild and Yarmouth Mariners.

The Central division in dark jerseys will be represented by Avon River Rats, Halifax Thunder, Chester Clippers, New Waterford Jets, Fundy Phantoms and Harbour Crunch.
