In a rematch of last year’s championship, the Mariners will meet Dartmouth’s École du Carrefour in a game that begins at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
Last year, Digby’s senior girls team raced the predicted arrival of hurricane Noel and overcame a first half one-goal deficit.
Digby coach Harold Alexander said afterwards Carrefour’s Les Léopards team played with a bumping and pushing style, “but that’s the way soccer is played as it gets more competitive.”
Tomorrow’s consolation game at 10 a.m. will see East Antigonish take on New Germany.
Lady Mariners, Les Léopards to meet again in title game
The Lady Mariners soccer team from Digby Regional will play in the Nova Scotia Division 3 championship in Monastery tomorrow after downing the host team East Antigonish 2-1 in a game just concluded.
