Cory Saulnier and Lynn Wall were named athletes of the year when Digby Regional High School handed out its sports awards during evening ceremonies last week.

Wall and Saulnier also received exemplary participation certificates from the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation.

Junior athlete of the year awards went to Meagan Hersey and Tanner Robinson, while the coaching award was presented to Charlotte Franklin.

NSSAF ‘Good Sport’ awards were given to junior high athletes Nicole Wagner and Colton Farris for demonstrating commitment to fair play, ethical behavior and integrity and for showing respect and concern for others while participating in school sports.

Grade 12 students Ariel Van Tassel and Jordan Cromwell received Ron O’Flaherty Scholar-Athlete awards.
