Digby’s senior boys Mariners tied Kings Edgehill 3-3 on Thursday, Oct. 11 in Windsor.
King’s was up 1-0 in the first half when Digby received a red card for a handball in the box.
The Edgehill player scored on the penalty kick to make it 2-0.
Down a player, Digby tied it up in the second half with two goals from Lucas Knotek.
Kings Edgehill then scored to make it 3-2.
Tanner Robinson notched the tying goal for Digby.
The senior boys Mariners finished third in their division. Annapolis Royal finished first and will host Regionals. Bridgetown was second.
Digby didn’t make regionals but has a match against the third place team from the South Shore Thursday, Oct. 18 at home. If they win, they will advance to a provincial qualifier.
The senior girls lost 1-0 to Middleton in Digby on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
They beat Annapolis on Thursday 5-0. Kristine McNeil had a hat trick and Kiersten Wagner and Serenity Mullens each had one.
The senior girls also have a pre-qualifiers game, probably in Liverpool on Thursday, where they need to win to advance to a provincial qualifier.
The junior girls beat St. Mary's Bay Academy 6-1 at home in Digby.
The junior girls play Monday, Oct. 15 in Bridgetown and host Bridgetown in Digby on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
The junior boys defeated Clare 7-1 at Digby on Friday, Oct. 12. Nathan Janson scored a hat trick in the first half.
Ryan Doucette and Logan Bell also scored in the first half to make the score 5-0.
In the second half, Nathan Janson and Logan Bell each scored again and Clare scored a penalty kick to make the final score 7-1.
The junior boys team had not heard as of press time when their next game would be played.
