West division semi-finals tied after Barrington's 7-3 win at home

Clare Lions have to hope it’s not a case of history repeating itself, but their Junior C division semi-final series goes to a deciding game tonight after Barrington Ice Dogs won last night at home.

The Ice Dogs scored four times in the second period to take a 7-3 win and force the fifth and deciding game in Clare tonight at 8:30 p.m.

Shots were 38-33 for the Ice Dogs, with Mario Blinn, Rejean Deveau and Renel Deveau scoring for the Lions. Nick Comeau took the loss in nets for Clare and Colin Huskins got the win.

Last year, the Lions finished atop the league’s West Division for the regular season and, just as in the previous two seasons, it was Barrington that advanced from the playoffs.

The previous year, Barrington came to Clare for the fifth and deciding game and won 3-2.
