Fuelers, Lions tangle again today

The Valley Fuelers will have to recover quickly from last night’s 9-2 shellacking from the Clare Lions at the Université Sainte-Anne Arena in Church Point. They meet the same West Division rivals in Junior C hockey action Digby today at 2 p.m.

The Fuelers were outshot 38-20 in Church Point, with Clare’s Jacques Lombard leading the Lions with a hat trick.

Tyler Robertson and Tristan Reede scored the Fuelers’ goals.

Other Lions goals came from Marc MacIntosh, with two, and Marc Lombard, Mario Blinn, Daniel Arsenault and Marc André d'Entremont, all with singles.

Grant Gaudet got the win in nets, while Adam Gorman took the loss.
