Families turned out in full force Saturday to learn more about Emergency Preparedness. Digby arena was filled with displays, and for the action oriented there were also a number of demonstrations.

An RCMP service dog named ‘Bo’ showed how he sniffs out drugs and apprehends bad guys, and members of the local RCMP detachment demonstrated how spike strips are used to flatten tires of vehicles that are being chased.

Digby volunteer firefighters showed the crowd how the rescue equipment Jaws of Life is used.
