Minor baseball kicked off its fifth season in Digby on Saturday with a parade to the Don Brown Memorial ball field, followed by a game between the Digby Royals and the Weymouth Cardinals.

Coach and league organizer Sean Brown was pleased by the strong turnout of fans and parents. Weymouth defeated Digby 12-8.

“There is nothing like snacking on a dog and taking in a ball game for the afternoon,” Brown said.
