Playing in Oxford on Sunday against the North Shore Storm, the Lions cruised to a 7-2 victory, their second of the weekend.
Rejean Deveau and Daniel Arsenault each fired a pair of goals for the Lions, while singles came from Jacques Lombard, Marcel Landry, and Maxime Wilson. Colin Leblanc got the win as the Lions outshot the Storm 49-25.
Saturday at Musquodoboit Harbour, the Lions outshot the Eastern Shore Jr. Mariners on their way to a 9-3 win.
Marc Lombard and Mario Blinn led Clare with two goals and singles were added by Jacques Lombard, Serge McCauley, Daniel Arsenault, Marcel Landry and Marc André d'Entremont. Nick Comeau got the win in nets for Clare.
In Barrington on Saturday, the Fuelers were pummeled 11-2 by the Ice Dogs who got four goals from Dustin Goreham and a pair from Josh Alyward. Jamie Thomas, Aaron Perry, Shayne Devine, and Jeff Goulden rounded out the Ice Dogs offense.
Theron Lane and Eric Cook scored for the Fuelers. Chris Hersey took the loss in goal, facing 62 shots.
Lions take two, Fuelers get chewed by Dogs
It was a good weekend in Junior C hockey action for the Clare Lions, but a dog of a day for the Valley Fuelers from Digby.
