Lions humble Rats in Windsor

Clare Lions were led by a hat trick from Marc MacIntosh on Saturday as they downed Avon River Rats 7-1 in Windsor.

Jean Marc d'Entremont added a pair for the Junior C team, and singles from Mario Blinn and Anthony LeBlanc. Nick Comeau got the win in nets.

Brandyn Ross scored the lone goal for the River Rats, while Tyler Whynot took the loss in nets. The Lions outshot Avon, 58 to 23.

The River Rats are in second place in the provincial league’s Central division, while the Lions now lead the West with 12 wins in 16 games.
