Fuelers game today postponed

Clare Lions edged New Waterford Jets 3-2 in a Junior C game last night in Cape Breton, and conclude their Central Division road trip with game this afternoon in Parrsboro against the Fundy Phantoms.

The Lions got goals Saturday night from Mario Blinn, Marc Lombard and Maxime Wilson to squeeze past the Jets, while Nick Comeau got the win in goal, facing just 17 shots.

Neil Rozee took the loss as Clare fired 27 shots at the Jets.

New Waterford goals were scored by Joey Walsh and Ian Burke.

In Barrington last night, the hometown Ice Dogs scored five unanswered goals in the second period to skate to a 7-3 win over Yarmouth.

Dustin Goreham and Dwight Crowell each notched a pair of goals, and Josh Alyward, Brandon Nickerson and Brent Symonds fired singles.

The Ice Dogs scheduled game in Digby today against the Valley Fuelers has been postponed.
