Wright’s mother, Donna Peck, says her Nova Scotia softball career began with the Annapolis Angels. The star pitcher was picked up to play provincially and as a teenager competed at the Canada Games.
Wright was a guest coach with Team Canada at the 1999 Pan-Am Games and served as head coach to the Venezuela National Women’s Team from 1999 to 2004.
Wright founded the West Coast Softball Academy in 1996. The training school provides progressive training to young athletes.
Canadian Women’s Softball signs Wright as assistant coach
Kim Wright has been named assistant coach to the Canadian Women’s softball team. Raised in Bear River, Wright has been a softball enthusiast since her youth and now lives in Surrey, B.C.
