Lady Mariners take on Dalbrae for fifth place

Digby Regional’s Lady Mariners, last year’s Division 3 girls’ basketball champions, are playing for fifth place at 11 a.m. today in Springhill against Dalbrae Academy from Cape Breton.

The Lady Mariners, seeded eighth in the tournament, lost their opening game 95-74 Thursday to top seeded Springhill. They bounced back yesterday in the consolation semi-finals with a 51-42 win over Musquodoboit.
