Digby Ravens and the Berwick Bruins have met a half dozen times this season and, true to form, the 3-2 victory by Berwick showed the teams have been evenly matched.

The Ravens’ Thane Cress opened scoring at 11:51 of t he third period, with assists by Logan Porter and Bradley O’Neill.

The lead lasted less than a minute before Bruins’ captain Chris Peill scored his first of two in a row, both assisted by Jordan Rockwell.

The Bruins’ Jordan Seyforth put the Berwick team up 3-1 and Digby’s second goal from Mitchell Courtney came with just 43 seconds remaining, too little too late as it turned out.

Game MVP honors went to Mackenzie Daniels of the Bruins and Devon Farris of the Ravens.

In the earlier Peewee House championship, the Cole Harbour Senators trounced the Cole Harbour Sharks 10-3.

Refereeing the game was Robbie Morgan, son of the man for whom the tournament is named.

Teams taking part in the tournament were from Middleton, Berwick, Cole Harbour, Clare, Greenwood, West Hants, Shelburne and Digby.
