For D awards -- Point system explanation:
Students who participate in extra-curricular activities are eligible to accumulate points based on their participation in the activities. To receive a maximum number of points, a student must meet the following criteria:
exemplary leadership
a consistent and positive attitude
displaying the characteristics of a good role model and in athletics, of being a good sport at all times
excellent participation at meetings or practices and team events such as fund-raising activities.
Only one or at most two students can receive the maximum number of points in any given activity.
Depending on the activity and the length of time it runs, points for an activity can be assigned from a maximum of 3 to a maximum of 7. Most athletics have a maximum of 5 points.
To receive an enamel D, 20 points are required. To receive a silver D, 40 points are required. To receive a gold D, 70 points are required.
