Creighton leads NSGA Midget championship

Digby native Myles Creighton took a commanding lead today at the NSGA Midget championship being played at Annapolis Royal Golf and Country Club.

Creighton, a member of both the Digby Pines and Annapolis Royal golf clubs, finished the first round with an impressive one over par 71. He used his home course knowledge to card five bogeys and four birdies to lead the round.

Sitting four strokes back in second place is Ryan Nowe of Osprey Ridge Golf Club in Bridgewater. Nowe finished his day with a five-over 75.

Creighton and Nowe were the only two competitors to score in the 70s today under intense heat.
