Couple face drug charges after home search

Charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy are pending against a Digby County man and woman following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Saulnierville on the evening of Jan. 26.

Members of the Yarmouth-Clare Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Meteghan RCMP detachment executed the search warrant through the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Police said the search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of crack cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and drug paraphernalia.

As the charges have not been filed with the court, no names have been released.
