RCMP in Bridgetown were still declining Friday to name an 83-year-old man who died outside his Cornwallis Park home during a winter storm.

Next of kin are in Scotland, and although police have informed the family, an RCMP officer said they were not asked for permission to release the man’s name.

Neighbours found the man lying in the snow Jan. 3 and police speculated the man may have been outside overnight and succumbed to the elements.

An autopsy was to be performed to determine cause of death. No information has been provided.
