Every day in South West Health, staff explore ways to continually improve the work they do, and the care they provide to patients. Even small improvements – like better hand-washing rates or clearer communication among care providers - can make a big difference in lives of patients and in the work-life of other staff.

South West Health’s first ever Quality Showcase is a chance to recognize and celebrate excellence in many departments and programs. The event runs Feb. 26 and 27 at the Digby, Roseway and Yarmouth Hospitals.

“We know our health care providers are proud and excited about the work they do every day,” said Blaise MacNeil, CEO of South West Health. “This showcase is a way for staff to share their ideas and inspire others to pursue quality improvements across South West Health.”

The showcase will feature over 40 district displays, posters and presentation from as many as 24 teams. The event will open at 12 noon on Wednesday, Feb.y 26 at Digby, Roseway and Yarmouth Hospitals.

“Continually improving the quality of the work we do is essential to providing excellent patient care and enhancing the health of the community as a whole,” said MacNeil.  “Many of the displays and presentations at the Showcase are very creative and really demonstrate our staff’s commitment to strengthening South West Health’s culture of quality.”
