Municipality to begin advertising for next tax sale on Feb. 14

The municipality will be sending a special kind of Valentine’s Day message to a few tardy taxpayers.

The municipality sent out 57 60-day notices on Dec. 6, 2012 .

As of Monday, Jan. 14 only six people had settled their accounts; leaving 51 properties on the list to be sold in March.

Taxpayers have until Monday, Feb. 4 to pay their accounts before the municipality begins advertising their properties for sale.

The first advertisements will appear in local media on Valentine’s Day.

The properties will also be listed that day on the municipality’s website, www.digbydistrict.ca .
