The chainsaws have been going since 7 a.m. this morning, the tractor trailers have been hauling away load after laod of creosote soaked wood covered in barnacles, mussels and mud.

The last of the middle ell on Digby's wharf should disappear some time today or tomorrow. Dexter Construction will then have to tidy things up and that'll be that for the middle ell.

Jeff Sunderland, manager for the Digby Port Harbour Authority, says tenders for the dredging and driving of new pilings for the floating dock system have been let and he hopes if everything comes back compliant to be able to award those tenders this week or early next .
