Residents in the area of Montague Row and First Avenue between Church Street and St. Mary’s will be without water tomorrow starting at 9 a.m.

Digby CAO Tom Ossinger says everyone affected was notified today, Sunday Nov. 25.

The town is shutting down the water from 9 a.m. until possibly 4: 30 p.m. to fix a water leak in that end of town.

“They have water bubbling right out of the ground down there and so we have planned the shutdown for tomorrow to take care of that,” says Ossinger.

He says a similar planned shut down last week on Birch Street only took two hours.

That he said was a bad service line. The problem this time has yet to be determined.
