Residents of Digby, Yarmouth, Annapolis and Kings counties are advised that military personnel from 36 Canadian Brigade Group will be conducting training in various locations within those counties starting Friday, April 13, and continuing until noon on April 15.

Training with weapons, pyrotechnics and small calibre blank ammunition will take place within the town of Yarmouth, including Yarmouth Armory on Parade Street, the Yarmouth ferry terminal, and the Yarmouth airport.

Military personnel will conduct presence patrols within the town of Yarmouth moving on foot between the armory and the ferry terminal.

One CH-124 Sea King helicopters and two CH-146 Griffon Helicopters will also participate in the training. The public is advised that there may be some increase in noise and a presence of smoke associated with the training exercise.

In addition, military vehicle convoy traffic will be present on primary and secondary provincial highways moving between Aldershot, Kentville, Greenwood, Granville Ferry and Yarmouth.  

The public is asked to follow safety instructions should they come in contact with military personnel during the exercise.
