Two people were carried away conscious but complaining of multiple injuries from a single vehicle accident near the end of Lighthouse Road.
The young man and woman were the sole occupants of a white Toyota RAV4 that flipped into the woods Monday night March 26 around 11 p.m.
The vehicle seemed to leave the road just past a driveway near 724 Lighthouse Road and ended up about 50 feet in the woods. One poplar tree about eight inches in diameter was sheared off about seven feet in the air, another had the bark scraped off about five in the air. The SUV came to rest on its roof with the driver lieing half in and half out of the driver side door.
EHS called 911 requesting help from the Digby Fire Department shortly after 11 p.m.
The firefighters used hydraulic cutters and spreaders to remove the occupants who were both conscious but in severe shock.
EHS took the two patients to hospital near midnight.
