Area’s national parks closing

Parks Canada advises that, based on current information from the Canadian Hurricane Centre about the potential for severe weather from Hurricane Earl, the following national parks and national historic sites will close today, Sept. 3.

Topics :: Anne National Historic Site and Port Royal National Historic Site , Kejimkujik National Park

Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site campgrounds will be closed as of noon until Sunday. The main park will close today at 8 p.m, until Saturday at 2 pm.

Kejimkujik Seaside park will close today at 5 p.m. until further notice

Fort Anne National Historic Site and Port Royal National Historic Site are closing today at 5:30 p.m. and all day Saturday.

In the event that national park campgrounds are closed or evacuated, all those who had a camping reservation for this weekend at a national park will be fully refunded. Visit www.pccamping.ca or call 1-877-737-3783 regarding campground reservations.
