The Events column is for non-profit listings of events in Digby County. Items may run twice for free before the event’s date. Feb. 13 - Digby Regional High School Science Fair in cafeteria with exhibits open to the public from 3:30 to awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Feb. 14 - Tourism showcase in Annapolis Basin Conference Centre with 125 local exhibits. Hosted by Digby Area Tourism Association. Free admission. Feb. 14 - Valentine’s turkey supper in Hillsburgh United Church, Bear River, from 5-6 p.m. All welcome. Feb. 14 - All-you-can-eat country breakfast in Barton Baptist Church from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Bring your Valentine. Feb. 14 - Valentine’s supper, talent show in Little River Baptist Church. Potluck supper at 5 p.m., talent show at 7 p.m. For information, call 834-2350. Feb. 18 - Digby Minor Soccer Association annual general meeting at 7 p.m. in Digby Area Arena. Feb. 20 – Deadline for application for Community wellness funds available to groups and organizations. For information or application form, call Digby and Area Community Health Board at 245-1951. Feb. 22 - African Heritage Month music in Digby Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Freewill offering and fellowship hour to follow. All welcome. Feb. 23 - Potluck supper in Rossway Baptist Church at 6 p.m. for Digby Neck community. March 3-6 - ‘Women Moving Forward’ program at NSCC Digby campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also in Clare from March 3-6 and Weymouth from March 10-13. TUESDAYS – ‘Baby and me’ socializing time for babies and caregivers from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Family Resource Centre and Public Health. Phone 245-2163 for information. WEDNESDAYS - Mental health support group meets at 7 p.m. in Digby General Hospital boardroom. For anyone with an interest in mental health. For information, call John Roswell at 245-4552. THURSDAYS - 603rd Weymouth Royal Canadian Army Cadets meets in Weymouth Consolidated School from 6:30 - 9 p.m. Looking for new members aged 12-18. For information, contact Lieut.
