Reminder for visiting hospital patients

South West Health has been seeing some increased activity of diarrhea and vomiting within the district and has issued a reminder that people who are ill should not visit hospital patients.

In a statement, health officials said they recognize that visitors are important to patients, but germs causing diarrhea, vomiting, fever, colds, flu and other contagious illnesses are easily passed to them.
